Kettnaker introduces the WAVE surface in three color shades

With WAVE, Kettnaker expands the design possibilities of contemporary storage furniture through a surface that reinterprets light, materiality, and spatial perception. Its metallic, relief-like texture transforms cabinet fronts into sculptural elements whose reflections shift with the viewer’s perspective: at times soft and fluid, at others sharply defined and architecturally precise. Furniture thereby moves beyond its purely functional role, developing a distinct presence within the space.

Developed for the SOMA and CASE collections, WAVE exemplifies the furniture manufacturer’s approach of combining technological precision with an almost experimental exploration of materiality. Since 1870, Kettnaker has been crafting furniture in Dürmentingen, Upper Swabia, with a consistent focus on individuality, longevity, and design freedom. Modular systems, exceptional craftsmanship, and a deliberately reduced design language define the company’s timeless approach to interiors.
WAVE follows this philosophy throughout. Its surface responds sensitively to light and surroundings, subtly drawing walls, floors, and architectural structures into its visual effect. Available in the three finishes Champagne, Bronze, and Onyx, WAVE creates distinctly different atmospheres, ranging from luminous lightness and warm depth to a bold presence reminiscent of black chrome.
With WAVE, Kettnaker demonstrates how profoundly material innovation can shape the perception of furniture today, not as a decorative addition, but as an integral element of contemporary architecture and interior design.
