Between Tradition and the Beauty of Imperfection: Fischbacher 1819 Presents the New SILK ROAD Collection in Paris

On 14 January 2026, Fischbacher 1819 will present its new textile collection SILK ROAD in the Paris showroom as part of Paris Déco Off. The collection traces the historic Silk Road, passing caravan routes, oases and centuries old workshops. It pays tribute to the region’s traditional craft techniques and brings to life the diversity of landscapes through irregular textures and subtle imperfections. Mineral layers, dried riverbeds and fine grained sediments become a tactile expression of place, material and time.

In conversation with Camilla D. Fischbacher

At 4 p.m., Camilla D. Fischbacher, the creative director of Fischbacher 1819, will offer personal insights into creating the collection. She will discuss her travels to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as her extensive interactions with local artisans.
